I found the cutest pair of scissors the other day. I found it through a blog I follow. They're stork scissors, and they're beautiful colors. I love them!!! Here's a pic. I think they're darling. I got them from Anita's Little Stitches, at www.anitalittlestitches.com. Shipping was really quick. I got them in three days! There was a twenty dollar minimum, so I bought the third pair, the tiny little purple snips. I like all three pairs, and they're resting in the bag Julie got me for Christmas and gave me in April. (It's so much more fun to see the person and give them their gift. I was thrilled, and I'm sure she could see that!) Here's a pic of the little bag. Isnt' it cute!!!
I just love it. Of course, it has the Bengals logo on it, so of course I love it. I use it for notions. I have all my needles and scissors and glasses in it. It fits nicely in my stitching bag, so it's perfect. There is a little bit of color bleeding though, and that's my fault. I had to wash it (hand washed it, since I didn't want to throw it in with my clothes) when I had the vomiting problem. I didn't notice the bleeding till it was all dry, and then there was nothing I could do about it. But I still love it. Julie knows me so well, lol. Rosa keeps saying she's gonna get me a Tom Brady jersey (he plays for those who shall not be named). I keep telling her that's fine with me. If she wants to waste her eighty five dollars, I'll take it and burn it in effigy. I'll actually enjoy it too, lol. I think she gets that I'm serious though, because although she keeps threatening, she hasn't done it. I was thinking, the last time she threatened it, I'll do it at one of my brother's bonfires. Make it a ritual. We can burn it in the firepit, and I'll have someone take video of it. Wouldn't that be great!
I went through my kits today to get out the ones I want to start (namely Achoo and Fredrick the Literate). I also found (oh yay) some new fabbies. I got them from my friend Dawn up in Columbus. There's a little Silkweaver solo that will be perfect for Marguerite! It's a gorgeous shade of purple. I want to use my CC Hunter on it. I think it will look really good! I still have to floss toss it though. Here's the pic of the fabby by itself though. Isn't it pretty?!? Dawn gave me several pieces that she's decided she won't use, and I love all the colors. Two purples, a blue, an aqua, a burgundy, and a pink. Lovely!! I'll have to find a place to put them as my fabby drawer in the other room is full of other luscious hand dyed fabbies from Dawn, lol. I'm really enjoying this starting a rotation thing. I love to organize projects (but not my house as a whole, go figure). I've got the floss and fabby ready to go for Fredrick. Floss bags labeled, fabby dyed, good to go. Achoo and In Her Garden are kits, so I have fabby and floss for them. I just need to get the floss bags so I can get them labeled and sorted. Impossible Love and Country Bloomers are charts, so I need to stop in to Hobby Lobby and get the floss. I also, duh, need to get fabby for Impossible Love. I don't think I have a piece big enough. At least it will be plain white, so not hard to shop for. 123stitch, here I come!
Otherwise, not much going on here today. I'm a little put out that I didn't get to sleep until eight this morning and then woke at eleven. I couldn't go back to sleep. I'm tired, but not sleepy. So, of course, I'm taking pics, lol. My camera has been so busy lately! I'm gonna go check the laundry, then start doing emails again. Hope everyone is having a great day!!

Cute scissors! Anitas is fast getting orders out and communicates well when an order is going to take a little while.
Sounds like you have some good projects lined up!
Wanted to thank you for your kind comments to my blog, I appreciate them.
I love the colour of that fabric! Purple is my favourite colour. Cute scissors.
Sharon
Great new stash. I love buying from Anita too. Her customer service is fantastic with a cherry on top.
Cool scissors, I have a pair of the bird scissors in gold that my mom gave me. Being the Michigan man that I am, I have to shake my head about the Tom Brady jersey! lol The Patriots are my NFL team (besides the Lions, gotta root for the home team, even if they are the Lions! haha), if for nothing else because of the fact that I remember cheering for Tom Brady when he played for Michigan.
Cute scissors!!! Enjoy them!!! Love stork scissors!!! :-)
Anita's customer service is excellent!
I love organizing my craft area!!! Could spend hours doing so. Have fun stitching!
Cute scissors!! Hey Micheal's is having a 20% off your entire purchase sale on Monday including sales items so if you have a chance that is when you need to go get your floss. DMC is also on sale at Joann's this weekend. I am going to be a good girl and stay out of the stores and stay home and paint my bedroom and plant flowers!! Got to save money now since I spent it all on paint!
She's great Nancy. And you're welcome. I love blogs, both reading and writing!! Me too Sharon. And thanks! She's great Gabi. Love your descriptor!! Oh, boo on you Nick. You even said their name!!!! We'll have to agree to disagree about Tom Brady. My friend Rosa is a fan, which is why she keeps threatening me. At least she calls them those who shall not be named, lol. And thanks. I totally understand being a fan to a team that isn't doing well. I have the Bengals, who are deep in talent and light in performance, at least last year. I think you have Jon Kitna, he's no slouch. Hope they get better!! I do too. I now have about five pairs of Stork Scissors. As for organizing, I'm gonna be doing a lot of it, lol. Thanks Janet, I'll have to check that out. What color paint did you get? I can't believe you're changing the whole room like that!!
love the fabby color
Thanks Sierra. It's even better in person!!
Love your new scissors Julie! Anita is fantastic. I love ordering from her as she's always so helpful and quick to ship out plus she'll keep you informed if there's a problem with your order. I was going to put an order in with her last week but didn't realise she had a $20 limit and I only wanted one chart lol.
I love the colour of that fabric.
I just looove collecting scissors there's so many neat ones out there and they look all pretty displayed in a flower frog!
Thanks Sally. I've just recently started collecting scissors because they're pretty as opposed to having a couple of good pairs because I need them. I love to collect though, so I'm sure I'll soon have more. They do Dani. I like mine in my little bag though, so I can use them! If I leave them at home on display, I can't do anything with them!!
Cute scissors! Have you tried washing the bag with some Oxyclean/Vanish? I have had color bleeding problems with things here and that seems to work--that and a color catcher thrown into the wash.
I washed it by hand, since I didn't have a full load to go in. If I had seen it wet, I could have rinsed till it came clean. I'll try some of the new Oxyclean spray I got at Target the other day, and see if that works. If I can bear not to use it, lol. Thanks Siobhan!!
Nice scissors! I have a few of stork scissors but they are all gold. You are getting some brownie points for enabling! As soon Canada Post strike is over I'm ordering some!
Thanks Evalina. Glad I was able to enable you!! Don't you just love the internet?!?
