I'm dogsitting this weekend, starting today and going through Monday. It's supposed to be rainy, but warm, so I'm sure we'll get out for a walk or two. I'm sure he'll be thrilled to see me. He loves me to death, and I return his feelings. He's been very good with the cats lately, so we'll see how that goes with them while I'm there. David and Amy left a few minutes after eleven, so I have some time before I have to be there.
The plumber came yesterday to look at my bathtub. I was thrilled at first. (Well, sort of. They woke me up at about eleven, and I hadn't gotten to sleep until six, so... But I was thrilled and tired, lol.) Then he actually started to take apart the apparatus. And there's a special tool that you use to take the faucet apart. My landlord (Chris) didn't know that, and so he tried with pliers. He did nothing but strip the mechanism. So the whole kit and caboodle needs to be replaced. And because of that, they have to replace the tiles and everything else. To make it even worse, he's gonna be here to do it on Tuesday at nine thirty AM. I hate to be up that early in the morning. Hate it. Oh, well. Nothing I can do about it.
I need to go to Hobby Lobby today too. Jesus is clean and dry, and I also need some flossies. I'm almost to the point where I can't stitch because I need floss. Two or three colors I need were missing when we went floss shopping, so I need to pick them up. And I need to pick up a few flossies from Noah's Sub too. They weren't there, and so I need to get them too.
And last, but certainly not least, I have piccys. I got a bit done on my ornie this week, but very little last week.
So it's not progressed a whole lot. I'm liking the way it looks though. I love the black against the opalescent fabby. It looks great!!! I'm not sure how well the sparkle will show up in the piccy though. Sometimes, it's awesome, and other times not so much.
And this rotation period has been Frost Moon. It took me forever to get the darned thing gridded, in part because the fabby is so big. I'll need to grid it again soon too. I gridded enough lines for what my goal was, and the rest I left. So as soon as I finish up the first two rows of ten by tens, I need to put in some more grid lines.
(I hate to grid as it's so tedious. UGH!!!) The first three blocks (ten by tens) were the same color, so that helped, and I got a lot done at the meeting Monday night, so that's a good thing. (And I'll tell you all about it in a second.) I'm working with a lot of 939, which was also the first color I used in Lust. (It's also the color of the cabin in my first ornie, and if I can remember things like that, WHY can't I remember when I have appointments?!?) Argh!! Okay, the meeting...
I went in for an EGA meeting this week. I'm not sure, but I think that's what set off the problem behavior. I get stressed when I"m around a group of people cause I have some social anxiety. It generally results in either silence or talking too much. I did fine while I was there, but when I came home, I got stressed. It was awful. My stomach was acting up, and I felt like I was gonna vomit. I was constantly drinking and constantly peeing. I was jumping at each little sound as everything was amplified. I was overtired, and couldn't sleep. I was either sweating and hot, or chilled and cold. (I think that was due to the overtired though. I can't seem to control my body temp when I'm overtired for some reason.) After being up for thirty six hours, I asked mom to take me in to the ER. The psyche consult was amenable to my suggestions (brought on by previous treatment). He had the nurse give me a shot of two milligrams of Ativan (it's a tranquilizer, and slowed down my brain enough that I could fall asleep) and sent me home. The nurse was all about warning me it was gonna burn, and I was like not yet. It doesn't burn till a few seconds after the needle is withdrawn. THEN it burns like heck. She was laughing at me. Luckily, the burn doesn't last long. I washed the band aid off last night in the tub (forgot it was there, lol). But the meeting, duh...
There was a fairly small group of ladies, which helped a lot. Several of them were doing a project together. It was a hardanger project, but it was an edging, and I have nothing to edge. Also, I need another project like I need a hole in my head. So I didn't do it. About half of the two hour meeting was dedicated to the teaching of how to do what she was teaching them to do. The rest was general conversation. One of the ladies (Linda) had recently broken her hand in a car accident. She couldn't stitch, so she was just conversing and watching everyone else. They were all very nice. I took a few things for show and tell. I took Horizons, Tree of Stitches, Cattitude, and a bookmark of a sailboat that I did and framed for dad. Plus I had Frost Moon with me. Eyes got very large when I pulled the chart out, lol. (Ninety nine pages of chart, plus piccy and floss lists. It's very big, lol.) So I'm debating if I should go to the next one. I enjoyed the meeting, and I'm not sure that's what set me off. On the other hand, I really don't want to risk another episode... Oh, well, we'll see what happens.
I also got mail this week. I was so excited, and then not, lol. I got my order from Lauren of Sassy's Fabbys. I don't like one of the colors. It's supposed to be a green and it turned out sort of yellowish brown. That one I think I'm gonna return. The rest of them are FABULOUS!!! Gorgeous colors. I love them. You can drool over them all too, lol.
Okay, first up is a bad piccy of the first Swamp Moss. It's green, like it's supposed to be.
Next up is a piccy of the second Swamp Moss. It's sort of yellowish. (Later, I have a pic of the two together, so you can see them both.) This is the one I'm probably gonna send back and get redone. I may send both back, so she can match the second one to the first one. Hopefully, anyways...
This is Fairy Wishes, and it's my favorite of the five. I love the deep purple color. It's not dark, but it's really purple. Lovely!!!
This is Wild Berries, and it's actually a different fabby. Very pretty still, and soft as can be. It's a Cashel linen, unlike the others which are evenweaves. I don't mind working on linen at all, so it's all good.
And last but not least, we have Ice Caps. I love the way this came out. It's for Celtic Winter, and I think it's gonna be gorgeous.
And here is the piccy of the two Swamp Moss's together. You can really see the difference in this piccy. This one is more true to the colors than the above piccys. You can really see the green more in this pic too. They look like totally different colors!! So I'll email Sassy, and see what she says.

I'm glad you're feeling better. Depression is a hard road but you are getting help for yourself & that's a major thing!
I love those fabbies. The difference in Swamp is huge. They look totally different.
Enjoy dog sitting & take some time for yourself.
Glad you are feeling better. I suffer from depression & get panic & anxiety attacks from time to time. It's getting better with the meds, but still have evaluate how I feel before I go somewhere. Crowds are not good most days.
Anyway, I love the fabrics you got. Yeah the Swamp Moss's are definitely different.
I'll be watching your progress on Frost Moon, which is lovely by the way. :)
You are not a bad blogger - we all have times when we can't blog. I am not getting much done atm as I am on holiday in NY - not much time for blogging. Love your purple fabric.
hugs, Kaye xoxox
Thanks Edgar. I'm happy to be back too. Me too, Jcat. I'm sorry you're going through it too. It is the worst some days. The meds help though, so that's good. I know, they look weird together, don't they? I always enjoy the dog, lol. I often say we co own him, lol. Thanks Tammy. I don't do well when I have to interact with a lot of people. I don't mind them being around me, but having to talk to them bothers me. Thanks, and Thanks. Oh, holiday sounds lovely Kaye. I hope you're having fun in NY. I've heard it's fabulous, but I've never been.
And now I've edited and added the photos or Yes Dear. For some reason, they didn't work the first time.
Awww, the kitty cat is adorable, and I'm loving the sparkly fabrics, I never seem to be able to get the sparlies in the pictures.
I've just been nominated for a Leibster award on my blog and want to pass this on to you in turn.
The details are on my blog at http://kim-demeter83.blogspot.com

Awww, thanks Kim. I so appreciate it. I'll go check it out in just a sec... And thanks. This one wasn't very sparkly, all things considered. Hi Milly. I'm glad to have you here. You know a friend of mine on facebook, Julie Meister. We both follow you, lol. Thanks, I love her to death. Thanks Doris, I'm glad you like it. Sassy has been awesome about dying them for me.
I hope you are doing better now Julie. I know it's a hard and long road to recover from depression, just try and count 1 small positive in your daily life and try and focus on that. Lovely new sparkly fabrics! I can see I started your new obsession :D
LOL, Anne, you totally did. I had been wanting to try the opalescent for a long time, but I was a little scared it would be scratchy or uncomfortable. Now that I've tried it, I'll put anything that shows fabby on it. It's wonderful. Thanks sooooooooo much for sharing with me. I'm all about the little positives most days, but some days, I just think there's nothing positive. (It's there, I just don't see it.) Hope you're having a good day today too.
