I've been busy today, and Happy Easter

Apr 23, '11 12:54 AM
for everyone
I've been doing blogs today.  I think I must have signed up for a hundred new ones on my blogspot account, lol.  I was checking out the blogs that Nancy M follows, and I'm now following the stitchy ones, which is most of them.  Thanks Nancy, for the help, lol.  After doing blogs for several hours, I decided to talk to Tora.  I said hi, and her first words to me were, "Did you get your ring?"  I was like, hmmm...  I haven't checked the mail in a couple of days, let me go check.  So out into the hallway I went to find that there was a very ripped up package for me.  I came back inside hoping my ring was in it.  It was, and I love it.  It's so gorgeous.  It's called Garden Party ring, and it's the first one that's called to me in a while.  Here's the pics.  And the other piccy is a plaque that my cousin got me.  She knows how I am.  My mom keeps saying she's gonna come over and clean up  my house to her satisfaction, and I keep telling her no, because I'll never find anything again, lol.  It's an ongoing argument between us.  She came over on Friday and almost all we did was argue.  She wants me to throw mementos away, and I refuse to do it.  So then she gets all huffy at me...
We had a fun afternoon today though.  Well, sort of (except for the rain).  We went to get dinner at a local place.  It's called Bridgetown Finer Meats, and it's actually an old fashioned deli.  My dad found out, years ago, that they have the best fish sandwiches on Fridays during lent.  So he encouraged mom and I to go, and last year, mom picked up sandwiches for us and we all ate at dad's house.  It was fun, but weird.  (It always felt strange to have my parents together after the divorce.)  So mom and I went alone this year.  When I left home, it was nice, but about three minutes from mom's house, it started to pour down rain.  She ran out to the car.  "Can you see in this???"  I was like, of course.  So off we went.  It's about a fifteen to twenty minute drive and it took over half an hour.  Wind, rain, it was terrible.  We got back to mom's house and ate.  Delicious!!!  We also had pasta salad, mac and cheese, and asparagus.  We finished up the dishes, and then I got out her (very slow) laptop to show her the new HAED I just bought.  (Of course, I didn't tell her I'd already bought it.  Just that I wanted it.  She has a problem with me buying new charts as I'm so SABLE.)  Then she had me get into her email and read them to her while she scrubbed potatoes.  (She apparently feels the need to scrub the skin right off.)  After that, I left.  I took my stitching bag, but didn't even open it.  I wanted to get home in time to get some lilacs from the very large bush next door.  They're sitting on my PC and they smell soooooo good.  I love lilacs.  Then I spent the rest of the evening looking at more blogs.  I'm almost done now, yay!!  I hope you're all tucked up nice in your bed, dreaming of Spring Spheres, lol.  (If you haven't heard, a school in Seattle renamed Easter Eggs Spring Spheres.  IDK why, as they're not spherical at all.  Silly people!!)  Anyways, happy Easter, all.  HAGN!!

Thanks Penny. It was clunkier than I expected, but now that I'm used to it, I really like it too.

Thanks for visiting me! I love that ring. Really pretty. Love your new Frost Moon haed too. I am a very untidy person too and I am just starting to accept that this is me and I can't change it! I am starting to love my own quirkiness and clutter. Your cat looks a lot like one of my cats that passed away a couple of years ago. She was a tabby called Poppy. Loved her to bits. Very sad when they leave us. Good for you that you are venturing out into blogland. I am sure you will find lots of friendly, likeminded people. xx

Thanks for stopping by my blog. It is always a pleasure to meet new stitchy folks. Looks like you have a lot of big pieces in progress. I am working mostly on small ones this year. Love your kitty too!

Hi Hazel. Nice to see you here. Thanks for the compliments, lol. I totally admit that I'm a clutter bug. I hate to throw anything away that might be useful, so I don't, lol. Mom says I'm a hoarder!! I love Frost Moon too, and can't wait till I can start it. I should have a progress piccy by the end of next week, if I work hard. Have a Happy Easter!! Thanks AFwife. I tend to be a BAP kind of girl. I count each part or page done as a finish. Otherwise, I would get frustrated with never finishing anything, lol. Thanks Cathy, and you're welcome. Feel free to stop by anytime.

Thanks Melia. I was immediately drawn to it, as soon as I saw it. I love flowers and so that's a part of it too.
